Q: Is belly dance family friendly?
A: Yes, indeed! Belly dance is meant to be enjoyed by all. Read Shira's fantastic article, "A Dance For the Whole Family", here.
Q: Will the dancer provide music?
A: Ayperi will provide music for the above events. She can also link clients with musicians who will add another entrancing layer to your event.
Q: What's the story with tipping?
A: Gratuities are most welcome. Appropriate methods include an envelope at the end of the performance, or--for ultimate flair--the traditional "money shower" in which a stack of bills is fluttered over the dancer during the performance. Tips in-costume tips are not encouraged.
Q: How do I book a belly dancer?
A: Contact Ayperi by email or phone at 207.409.9540 with the details of your event. She is very friendly and will answer any of your questions. A non-refundable deposit reserves your date. The balance is due one week prior to the date.
Paypal & credit cards are welcome.
Please note that male-only events are not considered.
A: Don't hesitate to enquire! Travel to locations more than 5 miles from downtown Portland is charged at $40/hour plus milage at the current IRS rate ($0.55/mile as of January 2009).
